My name is Kyle M. Terrizzi.
The M stands for danger.
I'm a San Francisco Bay Area songwriter who, until recently, wrote and performed under the moniker, The Plastic Arts – a term which means noting to me.
The Plastic Arts (2009 - 2013)
After a four-year hiatus from music – time I spent in a fog of depression and beer – I returned to writing, and released two EPs in the span of seven months: Praise Box (July 2009) and Raleigh's Own (February 2010).
It was the writing and recording of Academy Clonez (November 2011), however, that cemented a return to music for me, personally.
Academy Clonez was my first full-length release under The Plastic Arts moniker, and I still consider it my first definitive artistic and musical statement as a songwriter.
At the start of 2014, I dropped The Plastic Arts moniker and began writing and performing as myself.
My latest record, Dear Patron, Vol. 1 (February 2014), is the first in what will be an ever-expanding series of patron-funded albums, and is comprised of seven brand-new songs, plus four outtakes from the recordings that would eventually become Academy Clonez.
Recently, I've shifted all of my focus onto writing and releasing new music continuously.
I perform regularly in the San Francisco Bay Area and beyond, and have shared the stage with indie-heavyweights like The Lighthouse and the Whaler, Tennis, Matt Pond PA, and Poor Moon – which I hope impresses you.
